Spend a vibrant summer weekend in Tennessee at the thrilling Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Camping at Bristol Motor Speedway offers RV enthusiasts an excellent way to enjoy the race. The Creekside Luxury RV Park has full hookups and amenities like complimentary firewood and convenient shuttle service to and from the Speedway. Alternatively, Medallion Campground is in a gated community for added security and a touch of exclusivity. Dragstrip and The Landing campgrounds have limited hookups but overlook the track for race fans who want to soak in the action without leaving their RV.
Here are some things to keep in mind when you go camping at Bristol Motor Speedway:
• The campgrounds at the speedway fill up quickly, so it's best to make reservations six months or more in advance. However, waitlists are available for campers who are unable to reserve a campsite that far ahead of time.
• Open fires are not allowed in The Dragstrip and The Landing campgrounds. However, you may use above-ground grills with lids to prepare food.
• Generators are allowed in the campgrounds, but only in select areas, so be sure to check your campsite's information before arriving.
• Campers with an RV manufactured by the THOR Family of Companies can receive free mobile repair services during select NASCAR race weekends. To receive services, be sure to register in advance.
If you don't wish to stay right at Bristol Motor Speedway, or the campgrounds are full, you can always stay at a nearby camping area:
• Bristol Campground is located less than 3 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway. It offers full-hookup sites, Wi-Fi, a fishing pond, and a swimming pool. Guests also have access to an on-site store and outdoor recreational areas.
• Shadrack Campground is in downtown Bristol and features a 7,500-acre lake. The campground has showers, modern toilets, and a clubhouse. Plus, it's pet-friendly and is open year-round. If you are not planning to stay in your RV, several hotels are available near Bristol Motor Speedway. Speedway Inn is one of the closest, and it allows pets. Additional amenities include free parking, an outdoor pool, and complimentary breakfast.
From Nashville and points west: Take I-40 E, and follow signs for Knoxville/Chattanooga. Use the left two lanes to take exit 421 for I-81 N toward Bristol. Take exit 69 for TN-394 toward Blountville/Bristol. Stay on TN-394 E until you reach Thunder Valley Dr. Turn onto Thunder Valley Dr, then take a slight left onto Harmon Sincox Ln. Turn right to stay on Harmon Sincox Ln, and the racetrack will be on your right.
Free parking is available at the Motor Speedway for all visitors. Premium, reserved parking closer to the entrance is also available for purchase.
Ticket prices vary by seating section, but children under 12 can always get a ticket for just $10. Discounts are available for college students and military service members. Weekend pass tickets are also available for those who want to attend both the Friday and the main Saturday races.
