Just under an hour from downtown Seattle and the Space Needle, Tolt-MacDonald Park and Campground is close enough to spend a whole day in the city but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. You can even get to Seattle using public transportation is a little over 2 hours. The park itself is near a couple of small towns and golf courses, with larger towns like Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond just a short drive away.
Tolt-MacDonald Park is a premier outdoor recreation destination just 45 minutes from the city of Seattle – it doesn’t get much better than that! At 574 acres, the park offers ample trails for walking and mountain biking as well as access to the great Snoqualmie River. You’ll find a 500-foot suspension bridge crossing the river that offers incredible views of the forests and Cascade mountains. There are even opportunities for wildlife viewing, from Salmon to Eagles to Osprey.
“For five generations our family has been going to this park and camping area. We make it our"usual spot". And despite our antics and late nights the staff have been pretty reasonable and accommodating. We just love it. Great swimming holes and places for floating. A dubious bridge jump and even a mud hill climb the kids have done across the river. We will continue to love and cherish this place for a long time to come.” – Benjamin Wilson, Google Review
