This small Ames campground was created when Saylorville Lake was first built. It offers a fabulous playground for the kids along with great picnic facilities. Two short trails lead within 1 mile of the tresses that can be easily followed to get to the High Trestle Trail. It is also easy to hike to scenic views overlooking the Des Moines River.
