Saddleback Butte State Park is located to the northeast of Palmdale. It’s situated in desert terrain, and flat, wide-open views expand in every direction. This campground is open all year-round, and spring and fall are the best times to visit.
Saddleback Butte State Park is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. This area stays warm and sunny throughout the year, and the desert is practically silent. Stunning rock formations can be viewed throughout the park.
“This is a nice little state campground for a stopover in cool/winter weather. I’ll use it again when on my way between Ventura/central coast and Eastern Sierra or Death Valley NP or points east. Note that there is a lot of traffic noise from big rigs passing by throughout the night. You might bring earplugs.” – Eric, Google Review
