As summer begins to transition to fall, it’s the perfect time for getting out in an RV. Typically, popular destinations aren’t as crowded since kids are back in school, and temperatures are more comfortable for exploring than the hottest summer months. People all around the country have planned their trips with RVshare for September and October – here’s where they are headed!
Yellowstone National Park
Millions of travelers come to America’s oldest National Park each year, and among those visitors are RVshare renters. Yellowstone touches Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, and is most well known for its hot springs and geysers. Also worth the trip include the breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains and abundance of wildlife sightings. Check out our full guide to Yellowstone National Park, including where to stay and things to do.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Florida
There is something truly magical about Disney World, and RVshare renters will be among those delighting in the wonder this fall. Where are they parking their RVs? Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, of course! Since it’s operated by Disney and located on the property, it is the closest campground you’ll find to the park. There are buses – and boats! – that take you to the Disney park of your choice, and there are also plenty of activities to do at the campground itself. If you’re planning a trip to Disney, we highly recommend staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. (Bonus – many RVshare owners will deliver and set up their RVs directly at your campsite!)
Zion National Park, Utah
Amazing orange and red rock landscapes likely come to mind when thinking of Zion National Park, which is what attracts millions of visitors, including RVshare renters, each year. Check off bucket-list hikes, such as The Narrows, the narrowest section of the canyon with walls a thousand feet tall. Find more things to do at Zion, as well as where to stay by using our guide.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Vegas is home to more than bright lights and casinos – there are nearby National and State Parks, world-class restaurants, and loads of family activities to enjoy as well. It’s all this and more that brings people from around the world to Las Vegas throughout the year. If you’re joining other RVshare-ers this fall, consult our Las Vegas guide to help plan your trip.
Grand Canyon, Arizona
Last but not least on our list of RVshare autumn destinations is Grand Canyon National Park. While anyone can enjoy the magnificent views of the canyon from up top, hikers need to be cautious about which trails they choose. It does help to go this time of year, in September and October, when temperatures aren’t as sweltering. There are other ways to explore the Grand Canyon, such as by helicopter and mule tours. In addition to our guide, we recommend checking the official NPS for real-time updates.
