Today, the resort & campground is the only commercial operation on recreational Swan Lake in Otter Tail County and is located a few miles south of Fergus Falls, MN. It occupies roughly 17 acres of land, 6 of which are natural woodlands, and has over 780ft of lakeshore frontage that includes a sandy swimming beach. On site there there is the original farm house, a camp store, cabins, RV sites, tent camping sites, and lots of open grassy areas for everyone to enjoy. There is a shared bath house with hot showers and flush toilets, a coin operated laundry, a work shed, a game room, a fish cleaning shed, and a boat house. The camp store offers fishing bait & tackle, groceries, camping gear, ice, firewood, and souvenirs.
The Ash Riviera Resort is located on the Ash River Trail; gateway to the Voyager National Park in Northern Minnesota. While the area is renowned for world-class fishing, the Ash River also offers other outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing, biking, and birdwatching. The resort offers rustic, fully equipped cabins with private decks.
At Ash Riviera Resort you can take a walk along the river and watch white-tailed deer, otter, and waterfowl at the water's edge. RV camping near Brainerd is not restricted to the Brainerd city limits. The nearby town of Nisswa, MN, has an RV resort with all the amenities as well, and it’s only 16 miles from Brainerd. The Birch Bay RV Resort has some of the largest RV sites in the state.

A little further away but still on the Brainerd RV parks map is Auger’s Pine View Resort. Most of the RV sites there are seasonal, but there are several sites left open for daily RV camping. The resort sits on Shamineau Lake, a spring-fed lake with crystal-clear water.
The fishing here is wonderful, and there are long, sandy beaches on which to stroll or fish. The rec room provides several games for guests. The sites are spacious, and the park is well-maintained.

Located on the shores of Lake Garfield about a half-hour’s drive south of Bemidji, Pine Beach Resort is another remote, wooded fishing spot where you can enjoy the peace of the wilderness and spend the day fishing on the lake. Hikers will appreciate that Pine Beach is only a half mile away from the Paul Bunyan State Trail, making the campground a suitable base from which to explore the area. The resort is also only a few minutes away from the nearby town of Laporte where you can pick up supplies.
