Bucket List Trips

Maui, the crown jewel of Hawaii, is a paradise begging to be explored. While many opt for the traditional resort experience, there’s a whole other world waiting for those who dare to take the road less traveled. Imagine cruising along the winding roads of this tropical wonderland, the wind in your hair, and the freedom of the open road ahead.

1. Rent a Cozy Van from RVshare

Kick off your Maui adventure by renting a comfortable van from RVshare. With their wide selection of vehicles, you can find the perfect home on wheels to explore the island at your own pace. We rented this 2020 Dodge Promaster Campervan and found it very comfortable. My favorite thing to do was park near the beach, open the doors, and read while lounging on the bed.

2. Explore Haleakalā National Park

Dive into Maui’s natural beauty with a visit to Haleakalā National Park. We witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets on the drive-up. We then set up camp amidst towering alien trees and enjoyed stargazing under the pristine night sky. Hosmer Grove Campground was a great home base for easy access to the summit for the sunrise the next morning.

3. Witness the Summit Sunrise at Haleakalā

I’d highly recommend rising before dawn to witness the awe-inspiring Summit Sunrise atop Haleakalā. Watch in wonder as the first rays of light paint the sky in brilliant hues, illuminating the island below. Tip: bring some layers – it is very cold at the summit!

4. Paraglide over Maui’s Stunning Landscapes

For an adrenaline-pumping experience, head to Paraglide Maui and soar above Maui’s breathtaking landscapes. Feel the thrill of flight as you glide through the air, taking in panoramic views of the island’s rugged coastline.

5. Discover Twin Falls on the Road to Hana

You can’t RV the entire Road to Hana but you can easily get to Twin Falls. Take a refreshing dip in the cool waters of these cascading falls and immerse yourself in the lush rainforest surroundings.
