Missouri Spring Trail
This trail will take you along a historic mining route where you can spot dates and names that have been carved into rocks. Approximately three miles of hiking will take you to the Missouri Spring Guzzler, a tranquil spot where you can relax while listening to the melodious songs of desert birds.

Fishing and Boating
Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a short distance from this BLM RV camping site. At Lake Mead, there are plenty of fishing and boating opportunities. Although the lake is renowned for fishing for striped bass, you can catch rainbow trout, crappie, catfish, sunfish, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass.
Climbing
Mountain climbing enthusiasts can enjoy climbing Mount Wilson and Wilson Ridge, which provide breathtaking views of Lake Mead and the surrounding mountains.
Wildlife Viewing
When hiking Mt. Wilson Wilderness - Missouri Spring Trailhead, you’ll likely spot numerous bird species that roam Mount Wilson Wilderness skies and areas. Visitors usually glimpse black-throated sparrow, phainopepla, raven, red-tailed hawk, and ladder-backed woodpecker. Some of the animals you’ll likely spot along the trail include wild burros, bighorn sheep, tortoises, yellow-backed spiny lizards, and Mojave patch-nosed snakes. There’s also plenty of flora native to the area, which you can view along the trail and throughout the wilderness. You can come across vegetation like creosote bush, white bursage, cactus, bunchgrasses, and cholla.
Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is a common activity in Missouri Spring Trailhead. Equestrians will enjoy stunning views of Lake Mead, mountains, and deserts in the distance and may catch a glimpse of various mammals and reptiles that inhabit the area.
