Mt. Wilson Wilderness - Missouri Spring Trailhead is a spectacular destination that allows visitors to explore Arizona’s breathtaking natural landscapes. Most people prefer to visit the area during fall, winter, and spring. Basically, the weather remains dry throughout the year, so ensure you bring enough water. Also, remember that Arizona temperatures can drop considerably at night, irrespective of the season. Therefore, if you plan to camp at the trailhead, remember to bring warm clothes for cold nights. 

Although animals and plants along the trail and throughout the surrounding area are beautiful, they can also cause harm. Don’t touch any cacti as you can get cut. If you come across any reptiles, watch them from a distance and allow them to move before approaching the area. 

Most Bureau of Land Management campgrounds don’t take reservations, so it’s imperative that you call ahead to ensure the area is still open and there’s space. In addition, most Bureau of Land Management free camping sites allow visitors to camp for up to two weeks within a month, so call ahead to confirm the permitted stay period. To get to Mt. Wilson Wilderness - Missouri Spring Trailhead from Highway 93 in Kingman, turn northeast to the Temple Bar Road and drive for about 19 miles south of Hoover Dam. At approximately milepost 10.8, search for NPS Road #130 on your left in the Lake Mead Recreation Area. Turn west and travel 3.1 miles to the trailhead parking area.
