RVshare Annual Travel Trend Report
Every year, RVShare surveys American travelers to uncover how, where, and why people are hitting the road. Our Annual Travel Trend Report digs into the data, from generational shifts in RV interest to the destinations drawing the biggest crowds.
We aim to give travelers, industry professionals, and curious road-trippers a comprehensive look at the state of RV travel. Browse every year's report below, along with additional insights that go deeper on the trends shaping each season.
Our Methodology
Each year's RVshare Travel Trend Report is built on a combination of proprietary platform data and original consumer research. Internal booking data is drawn directly from RVshare's marketplace, reflecting real renter behavior — including top destinations, delivery rates, booking volumes, and year-over-year shifts in traveler activity.
Consumer survey data is gathered in partnership with Wakefield Research, an independent market research firm. Surveys are conducted among U.S. adults 18 and older who have taken at least one leisure trip in the previous 12 to 24 months, ensuring responses reflect active travelers rather than the general population. Sample sizes are designed to be nationally representative, and results are weighted to account for differences in age, gender, and region.
Together, these two data sources give us a well-rounded picture of where RV travel stands today and where it's headed in the year ahead.
