Its most famous attraction is the three-span bowstring arch bridge, which is considered a historical landmark. You'll also find the world-famous bowl-shaped Horse Thief Cave as well as the Ice Cave, which offers a cool breeze as you enter. If you enjoy hiking, explore the 3.5 miles of multi-use trails that travel along the river. The park is just outside Anamosa and within 40 miles of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.

How to Get to
Wapsipinicon State Park

You will find this park located on the southwest side of Anamosa, Iowa. If you are traveling on highway 151, you will need to get off at either exit 49 or exit 54. If you decide to get off at exit 49, you will need to continue for another three miles on north on County Road E-34. You will find the park entrance on your right side.

If you get off at exit 54, you will need to take a right onto 3rd Street. From there, you will need to turn left at the stop sign onto the main street. On this road, you will find a sharp curve to the south before you turn onto Elm Street. This road will take you to E-34 out of town. You will find the park entrance to your left on this road. You will also find several signs for park entrance along these routes, so keep an eye out for those.
