Ferne Clyffe State Park RV & Campground Guide

Ferne Clyffe State Park is nestled in the majestic Shawnee Hills in southern Illinois. No matter which park trail your traverse, you'll see some amazing rock formations, which include the 100-foot-tall intermittent waterfall and Hawk's Cave, a 150-foot-long shelter bluff. Ferne Clyffe is located less than two miles from downtown Goreville and about 12 miles southeast of Vienna. The 53-acre park is a beautiful mix of geological features and uncommon plant communities, and each brings its own beauty every season. When visiting, you'll have a chance to enjoy the mild temperatures throughout the better part of the year. However, the nights during the winter tend to become quite frigid, so be sure to bring a sweater or jacket.
