The Colt Creek State Park covers roughly 5,000 acres of native Central Florida habitat about 21 miles north of Lakeland. The state park is comprised of open vistas, thick cypress domes, winding creeks, lakes, and large strands of longleaf pine flatwoods. White-tailed deer, otters, and many bird species can be seen in the region. When you vacation here, you’ll be able to enjoy the year-round mild temperatures found in Florida. Colt Creek is 34 miles northeast of Seffner and 42 miles northeast of Tampa.

Colt Creek State Park offers 15 miles of multiple trails that are shared by bicyclists, hikers, and those riding horseback.
