- Steinaker State Park
Stretching along the shores of the Steinaker Reservoir in remote northeastern Utah, Steinaker State Park is a beautiful oasis surrounded by rugged hills. With more than 800 acres of clean, cool water, this is a haven for fishing and water sports. You can enjoy high-speed boating or glide silently along the shore with a kayak or paddleboard. The fun is just getting started after the winter freeze; that’s when ice skating and ice fishing get into full swing. Although it feels isolated, the park is just eight miles from Vernal, Utah, and 40 miles from Dinosaur, Colorado.
