Sea Rim State Park is a coastal park that's located south of Port Arthur and west of Sabine Pass. This massive 4,141-acre state park features about 5 miles of beach on the Gulf of Mexico as well as vast marshlands to explore and spot wildlife in. After a day of horseback riding on the beach, bird-watching from the boardwalk or kayaking on the Gulf, you can visit area attractions like the Sabine Pass Battleground or the Museum of the Gulf Coast.

RV Resorts & Campsites in Sea Rim State Park

Sea Rim State Park Campground

While many RV campgrounds exist near this state park, a convenient option is the Sea Rim State Park Campground, which features both cabins and RV campsites. The park encourages making online reservations for its campsites, which all have beach or boat ramp access. Three camp areas let you park your ride at camp. You will find 87 drive-up campsites and one floating campsite that's accessible by boat. 

The park’s 15 Piping Plover campsites charge a daily entrance fee as well as a campsite or facility fee. These sites all include a picnic table, outdoor grill, tent pad, lantern post, water hookups and 30/50-amp hookups for $20 per night. You will also find 75 sites in the East and West Beach Primitive Area that are first-come, first-served spaces only. These sites on the beach rent for $10 per night plus the park entrance fee. You could park in one of the regular lots and use a boat to access the marshland floating camping site for $15, plus the park entrance fee. 

Port Arthur RV Resort

Port Arthur RV Resort features 100 sites with full hookups. Each RV pad includes DirecTV, electricity, sewer, water, Wi-Fi and access to the shower/restroom facility. This RV park charges a daily RV camping rate of $45, a weekly rate of $225 and a monthly rate of $599. Its office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. Located on West Highway 365, this park features a Texas-shaped swimming pool and an outdoor pavilion with large-screen TV.

Golden Triangle RV Park

Near the beach, the Golden Triangle RV Park offers numerous amenities, including a swimming pool, hot tub, community room with widescreen TV, a gym and bathhouse. Showers and restrooms are cleaned daily. The on-site managers have office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Each RV site includes full 30/50-amp hookups, cable and Wi-Fi. The parking lot is gated and secured. Email or call for pricing.

Waterview RV Park and Resort

Get away from the crowds and luxuriate on the beach at Waterview RV Park and Resort. The park offers 74 RV pad sites that each include full 30/50-amp hookups, cable and Wi-Fi. Choose from water-view or pull-through sites. This RV resort offers numerous amenities, including a clubhouse, fitness center, laundry and playground with gazebo plus air-conditioned showers and restrooms. Inside Sea Rim State Park

The beach along the Gulf of Mexico is great for collecting seashells and just taking it easy. You can also horseback ride on 3 miles of it. Renting canoes or kayaks and taking them on the water trails is a popular activity at Sea Rim. Swimming is allowed in designated areas, and you can hunt in-season and fish in both freshwater and saltwater. The park is teeming with wildlife, including Monarch butterflies, bats, alligators, and coyotes. It's also an amazing place to bird-watch. You can bike and hike the park trails, including the Gambusia Nature Trail Boardwalk that leads you through the marsh. Enjoy water sports in the Gulf and get in some geocaching.

From the Dallas/Fort Worth metro, you can take I-35 S to I-45 S to reach the park. From Houston or Port Arthur, you only need to take I-45 S. You can also reach this park via boat from the Gulf of Mexico.
