Lake Brownwood State Park is located 22 miles north of Brownwood, Texas, and just 8 miles southeast of Grosvenor, Texas. The park features 6 miles of hiking trails as well as plenty of fishing action on its 6,490-acre lake, which is home to bass, crappie, and catfish. Lake Brownwood State Park is also a great place to Jet Ski, water ski, and canoe. When you're ready to visit, prepare for warm summer temps and mild winter weather.

How to Get to
Lake Brownwood State Park
From Brownwood, Texas, get on U.S. 279 heading northwest. Go 17 miles and turn east on State Park Road 15. You will reach the park in about 6 miles.
From Bangs, Texas, get on U.S. 67 North/U.S. 84 E. Turn left on FM 1849 and take another left onto TX 279 N. Turn right on State Park Road 15. Drive 6 miles, and you will reach the park.
