Tims Ford Marina and Resort
Tims Ford Marina is open year-round, along with the famous Hard Dock Cafe. With nearly 11,000 acres of water and almost 300 miles of shorelines, there's an endless supply of sights and sounds to discover. Those looking for adventure would do well to rent one of the many pontoon boats and head out onto the lake. The marina has 30 RV campsites complete with 30- or 50-amp connections. Water and sewer connections are available, along with a bathhouse and washer/dryer facilities. Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash.
Clearwater Cove RV Resort
Located southeast of Lynchburg, this campground has back-in RV sites starting at $55 and premium sites for $95. Clearwater Cove lives up to its name with thick forests and shining silver rivers. This campsite comes complete with Wi-Fi, a pool, and sewer hookups. Pets are more than welcome as long as they are under 16 pounds and up to date with vaccinations.

While visiting Tims Ford State Park, be sure to head out on the lake for some fishing, or grab a kayak, canoe, or pontoon boat. Those looking to stick to solid ground can go hiking on the scenic Lost Creek Overlook Trail or the challenging Highland Rim Wildflower Trail. For the bird lovers out there, check out Marble Plain Overlook, where you can find all kinds of birds, from herons to bald eagles.
How to Get to
Tims Ford State Park
Tims Ford State Park is located in south-central Tennessee. Head southeast on I-24 E. Take Exit 127 and then merge onto TN-50 W/US 64 and drive toward Winchester for 18 miles. Turn right onto TN-16 N/Rowe Gap Rd. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto George Fraley Pkway/Joyce Lane and follow it for about 1.5 miles. Go straight onto TN-50 W, turn right onto Mansford Road, and follow for about five miles. Turn left onto Tims Ford Dr. to reach your destination.
