Trough Creek State Park Campground
Tucked into the trees near the creek, the Trough Creek State Park Campground is a small, quiet getaway. Each of the 29 campsites has electricity and plenty of room for your RV. Bring firewood to build a fire in your private fire ring, and enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of your picnic table. All of the campsites are situated within walking distance of the rustic restrooms, and there's a dump station near the office for your convenience. Pets are welcome, but only at specific campsites. Nightly fees start at $22 per night.
Hemlock Hideaway Campground
Families love the Hemlock Hideaway Campground, which is situated just five minutes from Trough Creek State Park. RV sites offer full hookups and cable TV, so you can enjoy all of your motorhome's amenities. A short walk from camp, you can swim in the heated pool, clean off in the hot showers, or escape the weather in the game room. In the summer, grab an ice cream from the camp store or play a round of mini-golf. Other perks include a playground, a fishing pond, and a basketball court. Rates for RV sites start at $40 per night, with discounts for six-night stays.
Pleasant Hills Campground
Relax in the great outdoors at Pleasant Hills Campground, which offers a variety of RV sites with full hookups about 18 miles from Trough Creek State Park. Owned and operated by a local family, this campground offers a peaceful, kid-friendly experience. After a day of hiking, come back to camp for a dip in the swimming pool or a few hours at the playground. Paid Wi-Fi service is available, and the campground also offers mini-golf, hayrides, and a variety of sports courts. Most of the 140 campsites provide ample shade. Rates range from $47-$52 per night for RVs.

Inside Trough Creek State Park
Be sure to bring your hiking boots to Trough Creek State Park because you'll need them to experience the challenging hiking trails that wind through the park's ravines and peaks. Check out the historic Ice Mineshaft, and hop on the short but difficult Balanced Rock Trail to see Rainbow Falls and Balanced Rock. If you're in the mood for a challenge, the 2.4-mile Burmbaugh Trail offers some of the best views in the park. Bring a mountain bike to ride the 3.5-mile Old Forge Road or fish for trout in the Great Trough Creek and Raystown Lake. When winter hits, bundle up for a thrilling snowmobile adventure on the park trails.

The easiest way to reach Trough Creek State Park in an RV is to take Interstate 99 to Exit 23 and get off on Highway 164 east. From there, you can hop on Highway 26 north, cross Raystown Lake on Highway 994, and take Road 3031 north to Trough Creek.
