Caledonia State Park is in the northernmost part of the Blue Ridge Mountains near the town of Fayetteville in Pennsylvania. The Great Valley, a low, fertile valley, extends through the park. On the western and northwestern end of the park, you will see the eastern ridge of the Allegheny Mountains. Most of the rock in Caledonia is quartzite, though there's plenty of limestone and shale underlining the valleys. On the second Saturday in July, the Caledonia Arts and Crafts Fair takes place in the park, where you can buy unique skilled crafts from around 150 local craftspeople and artists. Caledonia State Park also runs educational programs throughout the summer.
