Lake Murray State Park RV & Campground Guide

Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s first and largest state park, Lake Murray State Park, covers 12,500 acres encompassing 5,700-acre Lake Murray. Located amongst southern Oklahoma's rolling hills and forests, the park offers a reprieve from summer heat for thousands of visiting families. Since its initial completion in 1938 by Works Progress Administration (WPA) and Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) members, visitors have enjoyed the crystal-clear waters, rugged hills, and magnificent forests. Still recognizable as a wild and scenic area with a historic impact, the park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 12, 2001.
