- Punderson State Park
Punderson State Park is a public recreation area that takes up 741 acres of land and 150 acres of a beautiful natural lake. It's in the glaciated plateau region of Ohio, and during the ice ages, this area was buried under glacial ice. The lake's aquatic environment, combined with the surrounding woodlands, provides a beautiful array of natural environmental wonders. In the park, the vegetation is just as different as the animal population: blue-eyed grass, buttercups, pennyworts, and wild geraniums are just a small number of wildflowers that inhabit the area. The lake is home to various shorebirds and waterfowl, including wood ducks, Canada geese, and blue herons. A few Ohio cities in proximity to Punderson State Park are Chesterland, Middlefield, and Newbury.
