Caesar Creek State Park Campground
Caesar Creek State Park Campground offers 252 RV campsites with access to electricity. Thirty-five of those sites provide full hookups. Fresh drinking water is available at centralized water stations for those unable to get one of the full-hookup sites. Restrooms with flush toilets and warm showers take the place of sewer hookups. The camping area is close to the lake and its 1,300-foot sandy beach. For those RV campers who need it, a dump station is located close to the park entrance. A boat launch site, camp store, playground, and basketball court are added amenities that visitors enjoy.

Frontier Campground
Frontier Campground sits 5 miles west of Caesar Creek State Park, just outside of Waynesville. The park offers 75 shaded RV campsites with full hookups, many of which accommodate pull-through trailers with slide-outs. A dump station is provided for those RVs that cannot access the campground's sewer system. Visitors find additional facilities such as restrooms with flush toilets, showers, a camp store, picnic tables, fire rings, and a playground. Newly installed Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground. You can visit this park anytime during the year.

Cowan Lake State Park
Cowan Lake State Park is a beautiful campground located 15 miles southeast of Caesar Creek State Park. It offers 237 RV campsites with electricity. Four of those sites are wheelchair-accessible. The campground is equipped with warm showers, restrooms with flush toilets, a camp store, laundry facilities, a beach along the lake, a boat launch ramp, and a dump station. Some of the favorite activities at Cowan Lake State Park are swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, and bicycling.

What to Do at
Caesar Creek State Park
Head over to Caesar Creek State Park and enjoy time in the sun, out on the water, or strolling through the forests. Along with boating, fishing, and swimming, you can partake in archery and horseback riding on designated trails. Picnic areas are outfitted with tables and grills, with playgrounds to keep the young ones busy. Pack your picnic basket or bring some burgers to grill up for a mid-day meal. Stop by the marina, where you can grab a bite to eat, pick up any supplies you've forgotten, or just enjoy the view with the outdoor seating and fountain.
Inside Caesar Creek State Park
Activities vary widely at Caesar Creek State Park. There are 43 miles of hiking trails and 9 miles of mountain bike trails that meander around the lake and dense forests. The paths often lead to peaks where magnificent views of the surrounding area and the lake leaves visitors in awe, and hikers are greeted with 65 varieties of native plants and trees to admire. Along the lake is a 1,300-foot beach interrupted by a boat launch ramp. Angling in the lake is excellent, with ample supplies of panfish populating the waters. Boating, canoeing, and kayaking are among the favorite activities of guests.
Fishing
Swimming in the lake are muskellunge and crappie for some of the best fishing in Ohio. You can cast your pole from shore, a boat, or one of the piers. The store at the marina has fishing supplies available for purchase.
Nature Watching
Nature is all around Caesar Creek, with trees, prairie grass, and dozens of animal species. Watch the small mammals run around through the forest or look to the sky for a chance to see the local songbirds and hawks.

Flora and Fauna
More than 65 species of plants make up the forests in the park. Oak, hickory, beech, and maple trees fill the woodlands. Keep an eye out to spot red-tail hawks, white-tail deer, raccoons, red foxes, and box turtles.
Hiking
More than 20 miles of trails twist and turn through the park, some moderate and some difficult. Near the campground, you can check out the shorter trails. Venturing out further, you'll find longer trails with scenic views of waterfalls, a swinging bridge, and the vast lake.
Boating
With five boat launches around the lake, you'll find easy access to get out on the water. There is no horsepower limit on the 2,830-acre lake, so be ready to open the throttle! For a more subdued activity, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding are popular on the lake as well.
Swimming
The park’s 1300-foot public beach is great for splashing around, lounging on your float, or soaking up some sun in the summer. Public restrooms are available near the beach.
Biking
The Fifty Springs Loop is an easy 3.5-mile bike trail around the Fifty Springs peninsula. For a more challenging ride, check out the 15-mile Mountain Bike Trail. This trail starts off easy but turns into steep climbs and drops for more advanced riders.

Caesar Creek State Park
Caesar Creek State Park lies between the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati, just north of Interstate 71 in Waynesville, OH. From Interstate 71, take Highway 380 going north to find one of the many entrances to the park.
Entering Caesar Creek State Park
You can find plenty of parking spots near the beach, at the marina, next to the nature center, and in limited other areas throughout the park. As with all Ohio state parks, Caesar Creek is free to enter.

Summer is the most popular season at the park for those who enjoy water sports, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Visiting in the autumn months offers a gorgeous view of the oranges, yellows, and red colors of the trees. If you enjoy winter sports such as cross-country skiing and ice fishing, you might plan your visit for the colder months.
Dozens of bird species inhabit the forests of the park. Red foxes, white-tail deer, and raccoons live on the land. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a turtle.

Yes. Reservations at the campground are required. You may not set up equipment on a site without a reservation, and there is no self-registration at the park. Reserve your spot online or by phone ahead of your stay. Sites range in price from $27 to $44 per night.
Pets are welcome in designated areas of the park. You must keep your pet on a leash and supervised at all times. Pets are not allowed in certain areas of the beach, inside the nature center or marina, or other off-limits areas as marked.
