- Don Robinson State Park
The quiet sanctuary of Don Robinson State Park sits near the hustle and bustle of the St. Louis metropolitan area. Wooded hillsides and sandstone canyons create the landscape around the park, filled with lush greenery and adorable wildlife. Rock caves, cliffs, meadows, and upland and bottomland forests scatter across the land of this once-private property owned by Don Robinson, who was a local business owner who starred in his own late-night commercials promoting his company's cleaning products. Upon Robinson's passing, his wish was to make the property open to the public. Robinson donated the land and a trust fund to help fund the outdoor recreation area. Today, tens of thousands of visitors a year wind through this scenic park in the eastern part of the Show Me State.
