- Grand Isle State Park
Grand Isle State Park, off the coast of Louisiana, serves as a breakwater between the Gulf and the many inland channels that connect to the bayou rivers and offshoots of the Mississippi River. Grand Isle also serves as the perfect launch point for deep-sea fishing and other open-water adventures. In fact, fishing is a huge draw for visitors to the park. The warm Gulf waters also mean swimmers can enjoy a dip almost any time of year.
Weather at the park is balmy and warm year-round, and the temperature only varies by about 30 degrees between the hottest and coldest days. However, the area can be very humid, making it feel hotter than it actually is.
