- My Old Kentucky Home State Park
My Old Kentucky Home State Park offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation while also providing a rich history of the Bluegrass State through its on-site buildings, amphitheater, and program offerings. The park's centerpiece, Federal Hill, is a farm with a mansion that was a popular meeting place for local politicians in the 19th century. This property is often associated with composer Stephen Foster, who wrote the famous anti-slavery ballad "My Old Kentucky Home, Good Night."
