- Levi Jackson State Park
Levi Jackson State Park in Kentucky, also known as Levi Jackson Wilderness Road Park is an 896-acre park that encompasses a section of the Wilderness Road. In the late 1700s and 1800s, this was a main route used by early settlers, including Daniel Boone, traveling by horseback or foot from Virginia to Kentucky. The park is named for settler Levi Jackson who operated a farm and tavern in the area in the 1800s. His descendants donated the park to the state of Kentucky in 1931, and the state transferred park ownership to the City of London in 2019. RVers staying in the spacious campground can learn more about the city park’s history at the Mountain Life Museum and enjoy the many activities that include a zip line adventure, swimming pool, mini-golf course and three trails.
