You'll find this state park and resort on the northwestern edge of the lake in Russell County, Kentucky. Located 40 miles from the state park, this Nancy, KY, campground is open throughout the year and offers large, shaded sites. All campsites provide access to the sewer system and, also, electric and water hookups. There is a private stocked fishing pond for those who want to enjoy quality family time while fishing in privacy. Boat valet services are available on the ramp. Besides the free Wi-Fi and cable TV at the lodge, you can also take advantage of the general store inside the campground and find everything from fishing equipment to camping supplies. This park also offers kid-friendly playgrounds and swimming pools. There are also laundry and bathroom facilities. Inside Lake Cumberland State Park
Known as the "The Houseboat Capital of the World," Lake Cumberland offers plenty of fishing and boating opportunities. There are sanitary dumping stations inside the park, and you can enjoy fire rings, BBQ grills, fresh drinking water, and picnic shelters at all the campsites. You can also enjoy the two golf courses inside the park or participate in interpretive wildlife watching tours. If you want to see all the famous destinations inside the park, there is a four-mile loop trail. You can also ride Jet Skis in the park and go horseback riding on the equestrian trails.
How to Get to
Lake Cumberland State Park
Lake Cumberland State Park is located 45 miles west of Somerset. To get to this park, you'll have to get on the Cumberland Parkway and make your way to Exit 62. Once you reach Exit 62, you need to head south on US 127. You should see the park entrance on your left.
