Located in the heart of the Great Lakes region of northwest Iowa, Gull Point is a 380-acre state park that sits along the shores of Iowa's largest and most popular lake – Okoboji. The park is a popular spot for swimming, fishing, hiking, and boating. Its large lodge, which was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and picnic areas are popular sites for wedding receptions and other events. Park visitors can also enjoy the amenities offered by nearby cities, including Arnolds Park, Spencer, and Estherville. With winter temperatures that drop below freezing, peak camping season in northwest Iowa falls between early May and late September, but Gull Point campsites are accessible year-round.

Gull Point State Park Campground
Gull Point State Park Campground has 112 shaded campsites, 52 of which boast 30-amp electric hookups. The sites are slightly sloped and can accommodate vehicles up to 25 feet in length. All sites are within walking distance of the park's modern shower and restroom facilities. Plus, the campground offers grills, picnic areas, playground equipment, potable water stations, and a sanitary dump station. Water, shower buildings, and dump stations are closed between late October and early April. However, campers are still welcome to enjoy the sites. Rates start at $16 per night.

Arnolds Park Campground
Arnolds Park Campground is a city-run lakeside campground with 15 lakeside campsites. Visitors gain access to the park's boat ramp and dock. The park is open from May to September. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Of the 15 sites, three have water. All campsites have electricity. Rates start at $25 per night.

How to Get to
Gull Point State Park
Gull Point State Park is on the west side of Lake Okoboji. The park is a three-minute drive from Iowa Highway 86. Visitors should head south on Highway 86 toward the 193rd Street Loop. Turn left onto Edgewood Drive. Then, take a slight left onto Harpen Street. The Gull Point State Park entrance is at 1500 Harpen St.
