Skidaway Island State Park

offers visitors a balance between busy urban life and the joy found in nature. The 588-acre park is sandwiched between the heavily populated area of Savannah, GA, and the Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge. The park offers spacious RV camping sites and a quiet environment not often found close to urban areas. A boat ramp located only one-quarter mile from the park gives campers excellent access to saltwater and freshwater fishing. Though Skidaway Island is surrounded by water, the closest beach access is at Tybee Island Beach, 25 miles away. Skidaway Island State Park is a favorite getaway for Savannah, Atlanta, and Charleston residents, the latter of which is only a 125-mile trip away.
