Located 15 miles south of Donalsonville, GA, Seminole State Park covers 604 acres on the shores of Lake Seminole. This 37,500-acre reservoir is in the southwest corner of Georgia along the Florida border. Park visitors can enjoy bird watching, fishing, and boating. The cities nearby are Bainbridge in Georgia as well as Chattahoochee and Tallahassee just over the border in Florida.

Wildlife is plentiful at Seminole State Park. If you enjoy watching animals in their natural setting, then you came to the right park. Visitors can see gopher tortoise burrows, bald eagles, osprey, and alligators. This park has one of the most extensive longleaf pine forests and is surrounded by a small cove. Other activities that campers can enjoy include swimming off the small sandy swimming beach, water skiing, tubing, hiking on nature trails, and canoeing.
How to Get to
Seminole State Park
Seminole State Park is located off US Highway 253 in Donalsonville, Georgia. Highway 253 is one of the major highways that run through the southwestern part of Georgia. If you come from south of Donalsonville, then take Georgia Highway 39 to get on Highway 253. Seminole State Park is located about 15 miles south of Donalsonville on highway 253, 23 miles west of Bainbridge.
You will continue to highway 310 until it turns into a dead end at Spring Creek Rd/ GA Hwy 253. Seminole State Park is off the Spring Creek Rd/ GA Hwy 253 exit.

The park is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
