Inside Hamburg State Park

When Hamburg State Park is hosting events, the on-site museum is open with displays of old agriculture tools and implements used in rural Georgia. Furthermore, the 1921 water-powered gristmill is operational during events, allowing visitors to learn how it operates and grinds corn. No matter the time of year, anglers can try to catch bream, largemouth bass, and crappie at the fishing pier or take a motorboat out on the water to fish. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy viewing the animals that roam the park, like raccoons, turtles, deer, alligators, and a variety of bird species. Hamburg State Park

From Mitchell, head west on Main Street, turn left on the first cross street onto Highway 102. Follow Highway 102 West for two miles, and then turn right onto Hamburg Road. Follow onto Agricola Road, travel for about 3 miles, and then turn left onto State Route 248. The state park will be located on the right.
