We went through all the tank emptying procedure 3 times making sure we flushed the RV black water tank. We felt very good about the fact we cleaned the RV as well as we did. Growing up with parents who had an RV I know this importance. When I saw the owner claim we did not empty the tank I knew he was trying to upcharge for no reason.
I’m sorry the rental ended on a disappointing note. However, I’d like to clarify that the charge was not an arbitrary $200 upcharge. The RV was returned with the black tank still needing to be emptied, which was confirmed by the tank indicators.
Detailed instructions for emptying the tanks were provided, including the importance of checking the gauges before returning the RV.
