My husband and I took this camper for a weeks vacation. We spent over 3K in renting from Mark. I had my service dog with me and we cleaned it SPOTLESS, cleaner than when we received it. I even used windex for counter and window cleaning, we took all the rubber mats out of van, SWEPT, and after cleaning rubber mats, returned spotless. We never used the bathroom or supplies.
Laura was not an ethical renter. She requested to pay off-platform in cash before booking, which is against RVshare policy. She also failed to disclose that she was bringing pets, resulting in pet hair throughout the rig upon return. Although she initially agreed to pay for extra miles, she later refused after drop-off.
tl;dr do not do this thing.
First things first, if you've never used a van like this before and are wondering, "Is a camper van for me?" Here are some thoughts: Are you under thirty? Can you sleep comfortably on a pile of unconnected 4" couch cushions on a rickety pull-out table? If you're traveling with someone, can you comfortably sleep with them in a bed smaller than a twin?
Katherine and her wife booked the van for one week. Toward the end of their trip, they requested to return the van outside of the agreed rental time. I explained that this was not possible, a guest was scheduled to pick up the unit. Katherine became upset and combative about this. When they returned the van, the interior was left in poor condition.
Mark is super friendly to deal with. Neat and tidy RV clearly maintained and upgraded by someone who really is into it. This was our 1st RV rental ever and it was great 1st experience. It's really helpful that the RV is the right size for navigating small towns. Anything bigger and it would be a problem.
