Start your visit by touring the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site. Then, tour the two cottages on the site. President Roosevelt used Top Cottage to escape with his closest allies while Eleanor used Val-Kill as her she-shed, and both have many personal mementos in them to see. You will also want to tour the presidential library before going on some of the hikes on this property.

How To Get To Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site

It is easy to get to this site from the New York State Thruway. Going either direction, take Exit 18. Get on 298 East and take it to 9W South. Cross the Mid-Hudson Bridge, and follow the overhead signs to get on Route 9 North. The site will be on your right in about five miles.
