Suitland Parkway

The Suitland Parkway connects Washington D.C. and Prince George's County in Maryland. Plans for the Suitland Parkway came about in 1937, and it was built during World War II as a shortcut between military facilities in the Washington, D.C. area. This nearly 10-mile stretch of roadway gives you a wonderful view of the trees on either side, and signs from historic railroads still stand at certain points along the road. The parkway is in close proximity to many activities and sights in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
