Guilford's Soldier Monument
The Soldier Monument is a prominent must-see landmark located in Guilford Green. This historic statue pays homage to the brave Guilford soldiers who fought and died during the Civil War. Henry Whitfield State Museum
The Henry Whitfield State Museum has a nearly four-century connection to the small city of Guilford, and it is considered to be both the oldest house in Connecticut and the oldest stone house in New England. Exhibits inside the museum explain this unique building's English Puritan roots in addition to its link to local Native American tribes that inhabited the area almost 400 years ago. The museum has a gift shop, and there several hiking trails located near the site.

Thomas Griswold House
The Thomas Griswold House is another house museum that's rich with local history dating all the way back to the late 18th century. Visitors to this museum are invited to enjoy the antique furnishings that are representative of the time when George Griswold, a descendant of Thomas Griswold, and his wife, Nancy, occupied the classic New England saltbox home. Featured areas of the dwelling include a keeping room, parlor, sitting room, and bedroom. Clothing from the period, artifacts, and photographs of Guilford are also on display in the upstairs portion of the Griswold residence.
