RV Rentals at Pitchfork Festival
Every summer since 2006, music fans have gathered in Chicago's Union Park for the Pitchfork Music Festival. This event is a celebration of multiple styles of music from hardcore punk to smooth jazz. Attendees can listen to their favorite artists, be introduced to new sounds and socialize with tens of thousands of like-minded music lovers. There are also shopping kiosks, dining areas and art displays set up during this three-day festival.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
The Pitchfork Music Festival has a history of providing multiple food venues for attendees. There have been food vendors that specialize in Polish sausage, pizza, fresh salads or ice cream. The festival is eco-friendly in that it provides recycling bins and compost containers. Festival-goers can reserve lockers to store their valuables and mobile charging packs for their phones. Furthermore, the Pitchfork Festival offers a lost-and-found, first-aid tent, restrooms (including ADA restrooms) and a resource and response center.

The Chicago Pitchfork Music Festival should not be confused with the other Pitchfork Festivals that take place in Paris or Berlin.
RVING AT THE EVENT
While there are no campgrounds directly at the Pitchfork Festival, you can enjoy your RV at one of the spots around the city. A popular spot for RV parking is McCormick Place, which is an easy 5 miles from Union Park. You can park your RV and hop on the CTA Green Line to be taken right to the festival gate. Renting an RV with RVshare is like having a hotel on four wheels. You can enjoy the festival during the day and head back to your own cozy place to sleep, eat and play.
If you want facilities that have electricity and water hookups, you may need to venture outside of Chicago's limits. There are multiple campgrounds on the edge of the city, all of which provide great amenities for leisure camping. Most require about an hour of driving to reach the Pitchfork Music Festival.
WHERE TO STAY
RV camping
McCormick Place offers overnight parking for RVs. This is a parking facility only and does not include amenities or electricity hookups. McCormick Place does not allow leisure camping, but it is Chicago's top spot for overnights in RVs.

Hotels
There are multiple hotels, inns and Airbnbs throughout Chicago. You can stay near Union Park with ease, although there are plenty of hotels near train lines.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Pitchfork Music Festival recommends that festival-goers arrive by train or bus. The northwest corner of the festival is the Ashland stop on the Pink and Green Line. Likewise, the Ashland #9 and the Madison #20 buses stop to the west and south of Union Park, respectively.
Biking is a popular way to arrive at the festival. In fact, it's so popular that the Pitchfork Music Festival offers a safe lot for bikes.
Those who wish to drive to the facilities should plan on parking in advance. Some spots can be reserved. There are also event-only lots that may have space for cars, trucks and RVs. If you are flying into O'Hare, you simply need to take Interstate 90 East for 14.5 miles. Take the 50A exit to Ogden Avenue; Union Park is on the left.
