If you’re an RVer who likes country music and loves to have a good time, Headwaters Country Jam is an event that was made for you. Headwaters is a three-day festival that thousands of RVers flock to each year to hear the best country in one of the most awe-inspiring parts of Big Sky Country. More than 20 artists and bands will play the songs that made them famous on two huge sound stages, and there will be delicious food to eat and thrilling activities to enjoy. Enter a line dancing competition, take part in a horseshoe throwing contest, or test your riding skills on a mechanical bull, and then return to your RV for a restful night’s sleep.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

The main attraction at Headwaters is amazing country music, but there will be plenty to see and do between performers. You could purchase some delicious food from one of the many vendors, or you could head over to one of the bars for a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail. There will be ATMs dotted around the venue. The activities for this year’s Headwaters have not been announced, but based on previous events, you can expect to find dancing competitions, horseshoe contests, and mechanical bulls.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

Headwaters Country Jam is a well-organized event. Security and medical personnel will be on duty throughout the festival to keep attendees safe and provide help in an emergency, and friendly professional will staff a large information booth. Water trucks and pump-out services will be available for RVers, and the camping area supply store will be stocked with food, toiletries, and other essentials.

RVING AT THE EVENT

Headwaters Country Jam is a major RVing event, but it would be a good idea to book early because space in the three available campsites is limited. The event organizers offer Standard, VIP, and Luxury campsite passes, but the amenities are all the same. What makes the camping areas different is their sizes and proximity to the sound stages. The Standard campsite is located about 20 minutes from the festival entrance, but the Luxury campsite is right outside. The sites in all of the campsites are 40 feet long. Standard and VIP sites are 20 feet wide, and Luxury sites are 40 feet wide.

The sites in all of the campgrounds are primitive, which means there are no water, power, or electrical hookups. Generators are permitted, but quiet rules go into effect at 2 a.m. Campfires and charcoal grills are not permitted, but you can cook al fresco on an electric or gas grill. Pump-out services will be available, and water trucks will be present at all the campsites, and you can pay to park a second vehicle on your campsite as long as it fits within the boundaries. You will need a festival admission ticket to enter the campsites.

• Standard campsite passes cost $175.

• VIP campsite passes cost $225.

• Luxury campsite passes cost $315.

• Companion parking passes cost $110.
