Rent an RV

Burning Man takes place from August 30 to September 7 in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, about 120 miles from Reno. The 2026 theme is "Axis Mundi," and the temporary city built for the event is Black Rock City. It's a nine-day arts festival that's well-known for the burning of a man-shaped wooden effigy at its conclusion. Kids can attend Burning Man, but it's typically geared toward adults. The event is also ideal for RVers, as an RV provides respite from the sun and heat in the middle of the desert.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

There aren't any scheduled performers or food vendors at Burning Man. It's all about making the most of each moment and seeing what's available when you arrive and throughout the event. However, since the focus of the event is on making and enjoying art, it's a perfect opportunity for you to do both.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

The event emphasizes self-reliance. However, there are options like portable public toilets, ice sales, and fueling stations. Black Rock City’s Emergency Services Department (ESD) is onsite.
