RV Rentals at Beach Road Weekend
Beach Road Weekend has been one of New England’s most attended and talked about music festivals since 2019. Organized by the Vineyard Arts & Culture Foundation, Beach Road Weekend is a celebration of music, love, and life. The event was held in Martha’s Vineyard until 2023, and it attracted legendary performers, including Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons, Leon Bridges, and Patti Smith. The event’s all-star lineup attracted more than 10,000 people daily, which became a problem for the organizers. Limited lodging options for attendees and staff and the costs of holding a major music festival on a small island with no road links forced the organizers to search for a new venue. Beach Road Weekend was canceled in 2024, but the event will be back and better than ever in 2025. Details have yet to be released, but what is known sounds great. Beach Road Weekend will be held on Cape Cod in 2025 and should be an event to remember. ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
People flock to Beach Road Weekend to hear incredible music, and they have plenty to see and do between sets. Vendors from all parts of New England offer everything from hemp hats to temporary tattoos.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
The amenities offered during Beach Road Weekend in Cape Cod have not been announced. Still, you can expect to see plenty of security and medical personnel on duty to assist, and you probably won’t have to walk very far to find a clean bathroom or an ATM. Other amenities will likely include water bottle refill stations, baby-changing areas, and an information booth. Food trucks were the only dining option when the event was at Martha’s Vineyard, but you can expect many more choices in 2025.
LOCATION
Cape Cod is a small peninsula in Massachusetts, about 70 miles from Boston. The closest airport is about five miles away in Hyannis, and the two main roads leading into the area are Massachusetts Route 3 and Massachusetts Route 25. The area’s main attractions are its miles of unspoiled sandy beaches, three historic lighthouses, and its laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. The event organizers have not announced where in Cape Cod Beach Road Weekend will take place.
LINEUP
Beach Road Weekend offers a wide range of rock, pop, folk, blues, and soul artists. The 2025 lineup has not been announced, but you can expect to hear some of the biggest names in the music business perform their greatest hits if you attend. RVING AT THE EVENT
When Beach Road Weekend was held in Martha’s Vineyard, the venue was too small to offer parking and amenities for RVers. There may not be any on-site campground when Beach Road Weekend is held on Cape Cod, but this will still be a great event to attend in an RV. Cape Cod is one of the most beautiful parts of the country, and it is home to several outstanding RV parks.
The Atlantic Oaks Campground will probably be a popular destination for RVers who attend Beach Road Weekend in 2025. The campground’s large and wooded pull-through RV sites offer full hookups, including cable TV service, and its long list of amenities includes private hot showers, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and a dog park. During the high season, you can expect to pay $77 per night for a site with a 30-amp electric hookup. If you need a 50-amp electric hookup, the nightly rate will increase to $83 per night.
Seawater Forest is a picturesque campground that has been welcoming RVers since 1958. Located in the heart of Cape Cod, Seawater Forest offers RV sites with no hookups, water and electric hookups, and water, electric, and sewer hookups. This is a quiet campground with beautiful woodland scenery, and its amenities include free Dish TV service, high-speed Wi-Fi, an internet café, and an air-conditioned doggie daycare center. High-season rates start at $41 per night. Shady Knoll Campground is just a mile from Cape Cod Bay and a short walk from the Cape Cod Rail Trail. If you plan to explore Cape Cod when you visit Beach Road Weekend, Shady Knoll Campground could be the perfect place to park your RV. The campground offers hookup and no hookup RV sites, and its amenities include free cable TV, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and a playground. High-season rates start at $60 per night.
WHERE TO STAY
Cape Cod has been a popular vacation destination for over a century, so you will have plenty of lodging options. If you are looking for chain hotel amenities and convenience, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cape Cod could be a good choice. This hotel has a fitness center, on-site restaurant, and heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and it is located just a mile from Barnstable Municipal Airport. Room rates start at $145 per night.
If you would prefer a hotel that offers a vacation experience as well as a room, check out Margaritaville Resorts Cape Cod. This family-friendly hotel’s decor combines tropical flair and nautical adventure, and kids will love the on-site water park. The hotel’s three gourmet restaurants offer handcrafted cocktails, local and imported craft beers, delicious food, and a laid-back and comfortable atmosphere. Room rates start at $140 per night. The Ocean Club on Smuggler’s Beach is just as fabulous as its name suggests. Most of the rooms in this hotel have incredible ocean views, and its glass-enclosed swimming pool is right on the beach. Amenities include a fitness center with a hot tub, sun deck, and community kitchen, and room rates start at $149 per night.
HOW TO GET THERE
Most people who drive to Cape Cod each year take either Interstate 95 or Interstate 93. To reach Cape Cod from I-95, stay to the left when you reach Providence to get onto I-195. You will see an exit for MA Route 25 when you get close to Cape Cod. If you take I-93 to reach Cape Cod, you will see an exit for MA Route 3 when approaching the peninsula.
