Austin City Limits Music Festival
The Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) is named after the television series "Austin City Limits," the longest-running music television show in history. Established in 2002, the festival runs over two three-day weekends, Oct. 3-5 and Oct. 10-12. It features nine stages showcasing bands and solo artists across genres, such as hip-hop, rock, country, folk and EDM. While the ACL has hosted its share of international superstars, festival attendees also get to see potential new big acts early in their careers on one of the event's many stages. Every year, this festival features a diverse selection of stars, emerging musicians and local talent.
ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
For many festivalgoers, ACL's Art Market is a must-visit. It's a wonderful place to buy a memento of your ACL experience or get a special gift. Booths feature local and national artists with handcrafted jewelry, clothing and unique goods. You can also pick up ACL swag and mementos from your favorite performers at the Festival and Artist Merchandise tent. The kids will love Austin Kiddie Limits, a dedicated child-friendly area. This section has its own stage with kid-focused performances, interactive activities, face painting and more. The area offers shaded areas and comfortable seating, making it easy for everyone to enjoy this festival in family-friendly Austin.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
A wide variety of food and drink booths are available at ACL Eats, with delicious options from some of Austin's most well-known eateries, breweries and food trucks. You will find gourmet tacos, artisanal ice cream and fruit juices among the diverse selection of local favorites. The Barton Beer Hall has a list of craft beers from local and regional brewers, while the Wine Grove has wine options.
The festival also provides several amenities to enhance your experience, including hydration stations to refill your water bottle. Additionally, there are ample restroom facilities, including accessible options, to accommodate all guests comfortably. You'll also find rental lockers, ATMs and even special family-friendly entrances. Try one of the relaxation zones, where you can take a break from the crowds, enjoy some shade and recharge.
LOCATION
The ACL festival is held every year at Zilker Park, 2207 Lou Neff Road, Austin, Texas. The park is just outside of downtown Austin, adjacent to beautiful Lady Bird Lake. Various major highways, including the north-south I-35 and east-west I-10, provide easy access to Austin, making the location ideal for a road trip.

RVING AT THE EVENT
Austin City Limits Music Festival is held at Zilker Park, which doesn't offer on-site RV camping. However, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the event with a motorhome or travel trailer serving as your home base! You'll find plenty of nearby RV camping options in Austin. Here are just a few favorites:
Austin Lone Star RV Community offers a slew of amenities without taking you far from the action — it's located only 5 miles from downtown. This RV resort boasts more than 150 full-hookup RV sites and a heated pool, exercise room and activity-packed clubhouse.
Roberts Resorts - Oak Forest is a member of a well-respected family of RV communities, offering both rental and for-sale spots across its Southwestern properties. This Austin-area RV park provides premium sites with concrete patios, full hookups, cable TV and high-speed internet.
La Hacienda RV Resort is in a peaceful setting a little bit further afield from the festival site. Its full-hookup sites are big-rig friendly, and rental cottages are also available.
WHERE TO STAY
If you want to stay at a hotel during the festival, booking early is essential since rooms fill up fast. Check out the hotel room finder available through Crew Fare. If you prefer, you can also bundle your hotel stay with a three-day festival ticket for the weekend of your choice. You'll get admittance to the festival along with a variety of ticket options and special rates at a nearby hotel.
HOW TO GET THERE
The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS), serviced daily by several large commercial carriers, including American, United and Southwest. You could also fly into San Antonio International (SAT) or Houston's William P. Hobby (HOU), both of which are less than three hours from the festival grounds.
Once you're in Austin, you have a number of options for getting to Zilker Park, including free downtown shuttle buses provided by event organizers that pick up festivalgoers at Republic Square Park in downtown Austin. On-site parking is extremely limited and mainly dedicated to vehicles displaying a state-issued handicapped plate or placard. You're encouraged to find alternate transport to the event, such as using the Cap Metro, which has several stops near Zilker Park. Rideshare pickup and dropoff points are on Barton Springs Road.
TICKETS & PRICING
Tickets begin at $230 for a three-day pass to Weekend 2 and $355 for Weekend 1 for general admission. Various ticket levels are available, including GA+, VIP and Platinum, with perks like climate-controlled flush toilets, complimentary Wi-Fi, golf cart shuttle transportation and more. Special multi-ticket spaces called Bungalows start at $30,000.
