The highlight of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 race weekend is the big Saturday race, which starts at 12:30 p.m. Those who have a full NASCAR Weekend Pass can see the practice/prequalifying race, the ARCA Menards Series West, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Friday and Sunday as well.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

At Sonoma Raceway, expect to find lots of drink and food concessions. Visitors are allowed to bring in one 15x15x15-inch cooler with food and beverages, too. Other concessions include a lost and found, ATMs, a first-aid station, and souvenirs.

LINEUP

RVING AT THE EVENT

You can camp right at The Point Campground at Sonoma Raceway to experience the race from just a few steps away from the track. The campground is 130 feet from Turn 2 on the course, and it’s a short walk from the Fan Zone, the Main Grandstand, and the Turn 2 Terrace area. Here are some tips for camping right at the raceway: • Be sure to make your camping reservation a few months in advance since campsites are limited. Reservations can be made online, and specific campsite requests may be made over the phone. • All camping at the raceway is in the infield, so plan to stay the entire race weekend from Thursday to Monday. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning. • Campground reservations do not include the price of race tickets. Campers are required to purchase race admission tickets separately. • There are no hookups at the campground, but you can bring a generator to provide your RV with electricity. Make sure that you avoid carbon monoxide poisoning by keeping your generator in a well-ventilated area, away from your RV. There are other campgrounds nearby to check out, too, if the raceway campgrounds become full. For example, the Sonoma County Fairgrounds and RV Park has 30- and 50-amp service and full hookups. You’ll also be close to wineries, restaurants, the coast, and hiking and biking trails while there. And the pet-friendly Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground has 30- and 50-amp service, pull-through spots, showers, fishing access, and a canoe launch.

WHERE TO STAY

You could also stay at a hotel near Sonoma Raceway if needed. • The Days Inn Novato/San Francisco is the closest hotel to the raceway, and it is right off Highway 101. It’s near the Museum of the American Indian, and it offers an outdoor pool and free breakfast options. • The Residence Inn Novato Sonoma has pet-friendly rooms, a golf course, a pool, and paid breakfast for guests. This hotel is slightly farther from the raceway, but it’s still right off of Highway 101. • The Guest House is a bed-and-breakfast in Novato, and it’s a private escape for those who want to stay close by Stafford Lake Park. With a location in a downtown area, it’s near many restaurants and small shops.

HOW TO GET THERE

From San Francisco: Take US-101 north to CA-37 E in Novato. Turn left onto CA-121 N. Turn left onto De Mattos Rd. Follow the road to the raceway. From Sacramento/East Bay: Take I-580 W to US-101 N to CA-37 E in Novato. Turn left onto CA-121 N. Turn left onto De Mattos Rd. Follow the road to the raceway.

PARKING

There is free parking for guests at the raceway in the general admission parking area. You may also be able to reserve a parking space for an added fee. All visitors are advised to enter through Gate 1 for parking.

TICKETS & PRICING

Tickets can be bought online for the race, and tickets range from single-day admission tickets to weekend pass tickets. Ticket prices vary but start at $127 for adults. Children under 12 can attend the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series West races at Sonoma Raceway with a ticketed adult. Children can also attend the main Toyota/Save Mart 350 for $10, and tickets for college students are available for $25. Service members and veterans are eligible for discounts.
