With more than 2 million visitors every year, the Minnesota State Fair is a top tourist destination. The fair features a full list of animals, including cattle, horses, sheep, and llamas, for visitors to get to know. Many fairgoers enter competitions showing off their prized livestock, and you can catch many of them in the show ring daily. If you don't make it to the show, check the furry critters in full fashion by strolling through the barns.
The State Fair has everything you need so you can spend the entire day at the fairgrounds without needing to leave. Food and beverages are plentiful at the many vendors throughout the grounds. Water fountains are spread across the area as well. Restrooms, baby changing stations, and breastfeeding facilities are plentiful, so you can take a needed break anytime without walking far. The fair also has ATMs and cellphone charging stations for convenience. Rent a wheelchair, scooter, stroller, or wagon to make getting around a little easier. Complimentary sunscreen helps visitors protect against the sun's rays. and a lost and found center helps guests reconnect with missing items.

The Minnesota State Fair is located just blocks from Interstate 94 in a populated area of the city. Multiple entrances are available for guests.
The State Fair Grandstand features an array of popular acts each year. Be sure to check the Grandstand lineup before visiting to get your tickets and see your favorite musical performance.
The Minnesota State Fair has a campground for RV campers. All sites have 20-amp services, and the campground features three dump stations, temporary water hookups, restrooms, showers, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Rates range from $30-45 daily depending on your vehicle. Fair admission is separate from your camping fees.
The campground at the Minnesota State Fair is extremely popular and has a limited number of sites. You can apply for a site with your preferred dates, and the campground staff sorts through them and makes assignments as available. If you aren't one of the lucky ones chosen for a spot, there are plenty of nearby options for your RV stay.

Whether coming from across town or across the country, it's easy to get to the Minnesota State Fair.
From the North: Take I-35W south. Merge onto Highway 36 East via Exit 23B on the left. Exit onto Snelling Avenue South and continue south until you reach the fairgrounds on the right.
From the South: Take I-35W north to I-94 East. Exit on Snelling Avenue. Turn right and head north to the fairgrounds, located on the left.
From the East: Take I-94 west to Snelling Avenue. Turn right and head north, finding the fairgrounds on the left.
From the West: Take I-94 east to Snelling Avenue. Turn left and head north. You'll find the fairgrounds on the left.
Parking on-site is available on a first-come basis for a fee. Fairground parking lots fill quickly each day. Accessible spots are available.
To beat the congestion, there is a free Park & Ride option for guests. This service features more than 30 locations for travelers to choose from, all allowing you to park free and ride the shuttle to the fairgrounds free of charge.
