Onion River Campground is in Plainfield, VT, a small village of about 1,000 residents similar to many New England hamlets that dot Vermont. Situated next to the Winooski River, and containing 26 RV sites, the campground is a family favorite for many vacationing New Englanders. When visiting this peaceful atmosphere, guests can explore walking trails and enjoy the picnic tables and playground with their children. The owners welcome leashed pets as well.
Every RV campsite provides electric hookups of 30 or 50 amps. Water hookups are available for every site, plus five of the 26 RV campsites have sewer hookups. If you enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, and canoeing, you'll love staying at Onion River Campground. The sites are spacious and can handle any rig on the road. Just keep in mind that the bridge to the campground is limited to handling 24,000 pounds or less.
“Onion River has a lot going for it. It's out in the middle of nowhere, there's an amazing converted train track trail through a beautiful forest, and a river runs right through it.” - Aimee, Hipcamp Review
