Located in southeast Georgia, Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park is 37 miles from Statesboro, GA. One of the main features of this campground is Brazell’s Creek Golf Course, which offers 18 holes of fun yet challenging golf. If golf isn’t your way of staying in shape, the park also offers outdoor fitness equipment.
This state-run park is named after the rare Gordonia tree and the Altamaha River, which is nearby. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, this RV park has more to offer than its great golf course. Picnic tables and shelters make it a favorite gathering area for groups of various sizes. Bring your boat, canoe or kayak to the launch and throw a line in, or simply cruise around the still water. Keep your putting stroke in shape with a round of miniature golf, hike the nature trails or head to the observation deck for a chance to see a beaver dam. If you’re a fan of geocaching, this area is teaming with hidden treasure.
“I stumbled upon this Georgia State Park just outside Reidsville. It’s something of a quirky place, only 29 campsites, a real family recreation/picnic grounds with a miniature golf feature and an 18 hole golf course adjacent to the campground. It’s a clean, quiet campground on a small pond.” Ron, RVparkreviews
