This city park is located on the east side off of M-89 along the banks of the Kalamazoo River. If you decide to camp here, Brookside Park does require a permit that you have to register for with the police department. Once everything is set up, you’ll have access to free utilities and parking for recreational vehicles.
This city park features a large covered pavilion that is suitable for family reunions and other events, and children can enjoy large playground equipment on each end of the park. Brookside Park, which has a three-day limit for camping, is also conveniently located 2 miles away from a Walmart. While it may be small, it provides some great RV camping near Kalamazoo.
“There are four sites with electric and a couple without for tents. Even though it is very near M89, it is very quiet. There is a police presence. You must go to the police station in Otsego to register. I called first, even though on a Sunday, and the dispatcher sent an officer over to the park. He told us to wait and pay in the morning when the pd was open for business as we planned to stay the full three days limit.” – arizona drifters, RV Park Reviews
