Best Zip Up Bedding for RVs: Our Honest Beddy’s Review

Product Reviews

After more than two and a half years of living full-time on the road, we’ve tried a lot of things to simplify RV life. One of the best upgrades we’ve made is switching to Beddy’s zip-up bedding. We’ve used it every night since we hit the road, and overall, we’ve been really happy with how it performs.

Why We Love Zip Up Bedding

The biggest benefit of Beddy’s bedding is how neat and tidy it keeps our bed. Our bed is located in the main living space of our RV, so it is one of the first things you see when you walk in. Keeping it looking clean and put together makes a huge difference in how the whole space feels. With Beddy’s zip up design, making the bed takes just seconds, and it always looks fresh and tidy.

Fabric Options

Beddy’s zip-up bedding offers different fabric options. You can choose between their super soft Minky lining or a more breathable cotton version. We went with the cotton since my husband tends to sleep warm and we spend a lot of time in warmer climates. The cotton keeps things cool and still feels soft and cozy. The Minky is great for colder weather or if you prefer a plush, warm feel. Both are high quality and really come down to personal preference. Cotton version of the Beddys

Pricing and Value

Beddy’s bedding is definitely an investment, but for RV living, the convenience and quality are worth it. You’re getting an all‑in‑one bedding system that includes a fitted sheet, top sheet, and comforter that zip together—perfect for keeping your space neat and easy to manage.

Prices vary depending on:

  • Size (toddler, twin, full, queen, and king)
  • Fabric choice (Minky or Cotton)
  • Style or design
  • Whether you choose the Original or the new ZipBase version (ZipBase includes a detachable bottom sheet for easier cleaning)

Here’s a look at the current pricing (as of mid‑2025):

  • Twin: starts around $220
  • Full: starts around $315
  • Queen: starts around $330 to $425+
  • King: starts around $330 all the way to $500+

Beddy’s often runs sales and promotions on their website, sometimes offering 20 to 40 percent off. We bought ours during a sale and felt like it was absolutely worth it for the ease and comfort it brings to our everyday RV life.

What’s included

Every set includes a fitted base with built-in bottom sheet, a sewn-in comforter, a soft minky or cotton interior lining for extra coziness, and matching pillowcase(s) and decorative sham(s).

If you are looking to save money, check out My Luxury Bedding Outlet. They offer amazing discounts on Beddy’s sets that were returned but never used. This is actually how we bought our first Beddy’s and we had no issues at all. It arrived looking and feeling brand new and was packaged just like one from the main site.

You can also check Beddys Buy/Sell Facebook groups. Many people list Beddy’s bedding there, both new and gently used. It is a great way to save if you are open to secondhand options.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind About Zip Up Bedding

When the bedding is fully zipped, it can feel a bit like sleeping in a sleeping bag. If you’re someone who likes to sprawl out, that might feel a little restricting. You can leave your side unzipped for a more traditional comforter feel, but for couples, there’s another issue. The top layer includes what they call a comfort flap, which is meant to provide some overhang. Unfortunately, it’s not very comforting for two. It just doesn’t have enough fabric to share. I often end up grabbing an extra blanket at night, especially if Anthony is hogging the top cover (like he always does!) These issues are, of course, all based on preference, so what bothers us might not even be a thought for you!

Trapped Dirt and Messes

Another thing to keep in mind is that dirt and debris can get trapped in between the bedding. Our kids sometimes climb in bed with us with sandy feet or dirty clothes from the day, and since the bedding zips tightly around the mattress, everything underneath can stay hidden until it starts to feel gritty once you get in bed for the night. When that happens, we unzip the whole top sheet and clean/ sweep out the debris underneath. It takes a little extra time, but is nothing crazy.

Bulky for Laundry

Washing Beddy’s takes more effort than a typical sheet set. Our version has two main pieces: the top layer that includes the sheet and comforter combo, and a bottom fitted sheet and base. Both are thick and take up a lot of space in a washer and dryer. If you’re like us and don’t have a laundry setup in your RV, expect to use a couple of machines at the laundromat.

The good news is that newer Beddy’s models now include a zip off bottom sheet, which makes cleaning much easier. You can remove and wash just the sheet instead of the entire base. This small update makes a big difference, and we are definitely planning to switch to that version in the future.

Final Thoughts

Overall, we really love our Beddy’s bedding and would recommend it to other RV families. It helps keep our small space looking clean and cozy without the daily bed-making hassle. While there are some downsides like the limited overhang for two people and the bulkiness for laundry, the pros still outweigh the cons for us. If you are looking for a practical and stylish bedding solution that fits RV life, Beddy’s is definitely worth checking out.
