RV Rentals at Cedar Rapids Sport Show
The Cedar Rapids Sport Show, also known as the Cedar Rapids Boat, RV & Vacation Show, has RVs of all kinds, including motorhomes, campers, trailers, toy haulers, and more. The show also features boats, UTVs, golf carts, and other fun toys. You'll find seminars about topics like fishing and other outdoor activities, and you can spend the weekend learning all about popular outdoor products and accessories.
ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
This sport show features lots of sporting vehicles, RVs, and other outdoor fun on display. You'll find motorhomes, trailers, campers, and other vehicles for camping as well that you can browse and chat about with vendors on-site. Plus, a seminar will be given by fishing expert Steve Miller.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
There is food on-site at this sport show that is sold by individual vendors. There are also happy hours with beer and other drinks for visitors over 21.

The Cedar Rapids Sport Show is held at the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center in Cedar Rapids, which is right off of Interstate 380.

RVING AT THE EVENT
While campers can’t stay right at the Cedar Rapids Sport Show venue, there are plenty of nearby campgrounds that can accommodate your RV:
• Morgan Creek Park Campground offers camping with electrical and water hookups. A dump station is available at the campground entrance, and a shower house with restrooms is on-site as well. Also at the park is an arboretum and a butterfly garden, which is home to over 250 species of trees and shrubs.
• Wanatee Park Campground has 69 modern camping sites, and this is the only public campground in Linn County that accepts advanced reservations. Two dump stations are at the campground, and there are multiple hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails.
• The campground at Palisades-Kepler State Park has electrical hookups, modern showers, and restrooms for campers. While most of the campsites there are given out on a first-come, first-served basis, there are a couple that can be reserved online in advance.
Here are some RV tips to make your trip a success:
• Parking at the expo center may be limited for large RVs. If you’d like to park your rig at the event, consider using a city parking garage with a high clearance.
• The Iowa weather in February tends to be quite cold, so plan on packing lots of warm layers, blankets, and portable heaters. You may also want to pack extra water if you plan to stay in a campground without water hookups.
• If you want to cook in your RV during your trip, be sure to pack all the cooking equipment you’ll need, such as pots, pans, utensils, dish soap, and towels.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Eastern Iowa Airport is just 10 minutes from the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center. From the airport, take 18th Street Southwest to 6th Street Southwest. Continue for 2.9 miles, and then turn right onto 76th Avenue Southwest. After a mile, turn left onto 6th Street Southwest. You will arrive at the expo center after another 1.9 miles.
PARKING
There is free parking for visitors to the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center. There is also city parking at other locations downtown Cedar Rapids.
TICKETS & PRICING
Tickets are $7 per person when purchased online for this event, although additional fees may apply for processing. Ticket prices increase at the door, and children 12 and under may enter for free.
