The area also has several narrow passages, sharp turns, and loose surfaces, and the trail runs along many drop-offs. This trail is best for experienced drivers, and a non-stock four-wheel drive vehicle or a four-wheel drive vehicle with a short wheelbase is recommended. The trail joins a wash at the 1.4-mile marker. Riders can follow the wash to the top of the mountain range. Keep an eye on the weather, and never ride along the wash if rain or storms are in the forecast, as washes can flood quickly. Remember that the Sleeping Princess OHV Trail offers no shade, and there is no drinking water along the route. Summer temperatures can be extremely hot, so prepare ahead by packing water and sunscreen.

Leave No Trace
"Leave No Trace" practices include being polite to other visitors by sharing trails and keeping noise to a minimum. It's important to pack out all of your trash. Waste, including dog waste, should also be disposed of properly. When enjoying desert Bureau of Land Management campgrounds, remember that this fragile ecosystem can be devastated by fire. Only build fires when strictly necessary, and always put them out as soon as possible. Check for any fire bans and obtain any necessary permits, and never make a fire when the fire danger rating is high. When camping, never alter a site to suit your needs. Instead, choose designated sites or camp in areas that have little or no vegetation.
