They offer kayak and canoe rentals, and you can go swimming or just float down the river when you aren’t fishing or boating. The camp store is a converted rail car called the “Lil’ Red Caboose.”
They have modern RV campsites equipped with full hookups that can accommodate larger vehicles. The Villages RV Park is provided as an accommodation by the owners of the Turning Stone Casino. It’s a great way to enjoy an extended stay at Turning Stone and take time to explore the surrounding area as well. This property is also rated highly among Utica–Rome–Oneida campsites because it includes a walking trail, outdoor sports, and ponds for fishing and swimming.
The amenities at Villages RV Park are excellent. They include bathhouses, a heated pool and a jacuzzi. You can visit the casino from the park, but the location is convenient for a tourist vacation exploring the Oneida and Utica area. In addition, you can head up to Verona Beach State Park on Oneida Lake or drive into nearby Rome for a shopping trip.

Camping at Spruce Creek harkens back to the days when life was simpler. Located about 25 miles east of Utica, it’s a quiet nook off the busy freeway nestled in the bend of a creek. The campground is not far from central New York’s nature preserves like Ferris Lake Wild Forest and Shaker Mountain Wild Forest.
While the amenities are not luxurious at Spruce Creek, the RV sites are modern with large pull-through sites, full hookups and 50 amps of power. The campgrounds have facilities to make an all-summer stay practical. The best part of Spruce Creek is the prime location for exploring the local forests and trails. Lassellsville State Forest and Rockwood State Forest offer many options.

Trail’s End Campground is located on Hinckley Reservoir between Hinckley State Park and Hinckley State Forest. With many nearby hiking, boating, swimming and wildlife-watching opportunities, Trail’s End is an ideal campsite for nature lovers. You can also go on day trips to check out the Adirondack Museum, Fort Ricky Children’s Discovery Zoo, and Enchanted Forest Safari.
This is a campground to consider if you love boating, fishing or exploring nature. Situated on the shore of a large reservoir, Trail’s End has boat and canoe rentals you can take out for a day on the water. There are also large forests within a couple of miles to hike through and explore. The camp has a store where you can pick up fishing supplies, laundry and bathing facilities, picnicking areas and a fishing pond for the kids.

Constructed in 2006 with baseball fans in mind, Deer Haven Campground and Cabins is located just across the street from Cooperstown All Star Village and 2 miles from Cooperstown Baseball World. This Oneonta campground is situated on 75 beautiful acres and features a pool, pavilion, laundry facilities, a playground, trails and a fishing pond. The park is family owned and operated and provides a wonderful experience for family-style and group camping.
The park is located on top of a hill with beautiful views all around. The grade can be steep, so free towing assistance is available if you have any concerns. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. This is a beautiful place for holding family reunions and birthday parties.
