Located about 15 miles west of Plymouth, this is a great location to camp, especially if you have kids who enjoy doing activities at the campground in the evening. This is a wooded park, which means there will be plenty of shade to enjoy no matter where your campsite is located. In addition, Boston is not far from Boston / Cape Cod KOA, so if you want to make a day-trip to the city, it can easily be added to your itinerary.
This is a campground that is designed for families. There is a jumping pillow for the younger ones to enjoy as well as a heated pool where you can relax and cool off after a day in the sun. There is even a nice miniature golf course for those families that crave a little competition.

Westport Camping Grounds is a family-operated facility that has been in operation for 42 years. It is a beautiful 33 acres, most of which is shaded by the maples, oaks, and pines that can be found across the grounds. This is an adult-oriented campground so you will have plenty of options for a relaxing vacation.

This massive state park is located south of Boston just outside of Quincy, Massachusetts. It’s about 20 miles from downtown Boston and a 30-45 minute drive. The park itself is fairly secluded, but it’s just a 5 minute drive to the closest suburban town of Hingham for groceries and dining. Hingham is also right on the water, for those who want to check out Hingham Bay or Fort Andrews. The park is also close to Massachusetts Bay.
This is one of the closest campgrounds to the city of Boston, and yet it’s completely secluded. With over 12 miles of scenic trails, this park is a bicycler’s paradise. They have both paved and off-road trails. The park also offers cross-country skiing and snow mobiling in the winter and boating in the summer. Campsites are spacious, clean, quiet, and peaceful. The campground services are minimal and a great place to get away from it all, but make sure you come prepared. Luckily, town is just a few miles away, and the city of Boston is under an hour away.
On the beautiful beaches of the north-Atlantic coast just north of Cape Cod, you’ll find this postcard-perfect military campground. You have the beach at your doorstep and Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and historic Plymouth are all just a short drive away.
